Knepp Wild Carrot - Daucus carota
Wild carrot is a very pretty white umbelliferous flowers seen through the park and self sowing itself in the walled garden at Knepp. Like the domestic carrot the D. carota root is edible but perhaps not as delicious as the domestic carrot! The flowers are sometimes battered and fried and the root can be used to make an orange dye.
Drawn in natural ink on sustainably sourced handmade paper from Bhutan
Price is for unframed but can be bought framed in raw oak as shown. Please contact me henny@hennytate.co.uk for more details.
