“Sisters and artists Henny Tate and Emma Lewis are hosting a joint exhibition of nature-inspired artwork at Knepp Estate, the 3,500 acre rewinding project in Sussex, Alongside a series of black and white photographs taken by Emma will be a collection of Henny’s recent charcoal drawings which examine the way certain plants hold and shed seeds as they transition from autumn to winter. The plants in question were collected from Knepp’s walled garden, and the resulting artworks are simple, quiet, and really very beautiful”

“For sisters Henny Tate and Emma Lewis, nature has been a constant companion. As children they grew up surrounded by 50 acres of rewarded land, so it is no wonder that they were drawn to the wilderness of the Knepp Estate fr their next exhibition. For this show the sisters have focused on the smaller elements of nature in an attempt to invite viewers to notice the beauty in the details. Emma has created a series of photographic portraits capturing the forms and patterns found in the leaves of native trees and henny’s botanical drawings focus on the delicacy of autumnal seed heads, particularly those she collected from the walled garden at Knepp.”
